Release Notes
- π Major update! Tasks can now be assigned individual custom durations
- π Natural language input now supports taking in task durations, e.g. by typing [15m] for 15 minutes
- π Tasks can now be assigned priorities and due times even if the service does not support it (such as Google Tasks, Microsoft Todos, Outlook, Exchange). Priorities and due times now sync to other devices running BusyCal (requires latest update)
- π Tasks now have a new superpower - these can be assigned a Starred status separate from priorities. This also syncs across services that do not support syncing this status (such as iCloud, Reminders, Google Tasks, Microsoft Todos, Outlook, Exchange).
- π Introducing Task statuses! You can now mark your tasks as βIn Progress,β βNeeds Action,β or βCancelled.β via a new drop-down edit option. Plus, these statuses seamlessly sync with supported services such as NextCloud.
- π Tasks can now be marked as βCancelledβ through the new βstatusβ option. Cancelled tasks, which do not carry forward, appear strikethrough and can be hidden via the βView > Show cancelled eventsβ preference
- π Smart filters updated to support filtering on the new Star status
- π You can now individually disable alarms for Events, Tasks, or Journals under Settings > Alarms
- π New setting to control the display of completed Undated Tasks in the calendar, under Settings > Tasks
- π Chinese Simplified now supported in Natural Language Input (Quick Entry)
- π Korean now supported in Natural Language Input (Quick Entry)
- π Added support for tabbing into the calendar-name selection drop-down to facilitate easier keyboard navigation
- β¨ Improved compatibility with NextCloud; sub-tasks no longer become detached after syncing back and forth
- β¨ Implemented a workaround to address a Google Calendar change that introduced birthdays and anniversaries into the main calendar without a way to turn this off. BusyCal now automatically marks such events as Hidden during sync
- β¨ Ignore calendar color option added to calendars under Reminders
- π§ Fixed bug turning on "Ignore calendar color" under calendar options would not work for some services
- π§ Fixed bug where the location field would copy over when creating "Busy Only" time-blocking events on another calendar
- π§ Fixed bug where the menu app was displaying an identical event from an arbitrary calendar rather than the current calendar set
- π§ Fixed an issue where tabbing between fields within the Info Panel could occasionally fail, especially with specific combinations of visible fields
- π§ Resolved an issue where travel time calculations were occasionally failing when using the current location.
- π§ Improved handling of MS Graph runtime errors after these were recently changed
- π§ Improved handling of intermittent server timeouts for MS Graph accounts
- π§ Ongoing stability and performance enhancements
