BusyCal 2024.4.2 has been released and is available for download. We stagger our roll-outs, so in case you don't see one available within the app, feel free to download the latest trial version directly.

Release Notes

• 🆕 Sync New Accounts Across Devices: Once added to one device, new accounts now automatically sync to all other devices (including BusyCal on iOS) via iCloud. Please note: Re-authentication is required as credentials are not transferred or synced.
• 🆕 Smart Filters & Calendar Sets now seamlessly sync across all your Macs running BusyCal
• 🆕 Smart Filters now have the option to remember your chosen time zone, allowing for seamless transitions between time zones as you switch filters in BusyCal
• 🆕 Settings / Accounts / Smart Filter syncing via iCloud can be optionally turned off, if needed, on individual devices under Settings > Advanced
• 🆕 Completed tasks can now be excluded from List View under List View > List Settings...
• ✨ Upcoming event title length can now be set to zero for the Menu bar, effectively hiding titles entirely
• 🔧 Fixed an issue where the 'Match Start/End Times' menu commands were not functioning correctly for floating events
• 🔧 Fixed an intermittent issue with Spotlight indexing not updating correctly
• 🔧 Fixed an issue where the Menu app would not immediately refresh events updated during background sync following a relaunch
• 🔧 Improved stability of Apple Calendar synchronization by addressing a crash caused by specific characters in the attendee field
• 🔧 Ongoing stability and performance enhancements

How to install the update

The update is free for all BusyCal customers with a valid license and is available now.

• Direct customers can update by selecting Check for Updates from the BusyCal menu.
• New users can download the BusyCal 30-Day Trial.
• Mac App Store users can download the update directly from the store page once it's been reviewed and approved by Apple
• Setapp users can launch the Setapp app and select Check for Updates from the Setapp menu

In case you own a direct, perpetual copy and your license has expired, you can extend your license from here to receive an additional 18 months of updates.
