Customizing Keyboard Shortcuts
You can override the keyboard shortcuts for any app, including BusyCal, in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts.
For example, if you wanted to change the keyboard shortcut for the File > New Event command from ⌘-N to Control-N, you would do this:
- Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts.
- Select App Shortcuts in the left sidebar.
- Click the + (plus) button.
- Choose BusyCal from the Application pop-up menu.
- Enter New Event without the quotes in the Menu Title field.
- Click in the Keyboard Shortcut field and press Control-N.
- Click Add.
Now, when you click the File menu in BusyCal you’ll see that the New Event menu command uses the new keyboard shortcut of Control-N.
Note: When creating keyboard shortcuts, you must be careful not to create conflicts with any existing keyboard shortcuts.
