How to setup sync with Synology
You need to manually provide a server address in the correct format in order to sync with a Synology account
Synology
Please note: The following information has been shared with us by a BusyCal user who has successfully tested BusyCal with a Synology Calendar Server. This information is being supplied as-is. We are aware of at least two other instances where these settings have greatly differed between Synology server versions.
- Launch BusyCal and open Preferences. Click on Accounts and click +
- Select CalDAV from the Server Type selection
- In Server Address, enter the following address:
https://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/homes/username/Calendar/
Substitute:
<HOSTNAME> with your hostname, such as my.server.com
<PORT> with the correct port, normally 5006 or 5001
If the above does not work, you will need to refer to Synology's user guide in order to determine the correct path.
Disclaimer: Synology may not be fully compatible with BusyCal due to its various limitations.
